A couple of questions from a newbie

Hi all!
I'm new at MFP and I'm really enjoying it so far! Have been reading a lot of the posts and feel like for the first time I will be able to stick to a healthier lifestyle. I've found great information so far and I'm educating myself in many different topics, so thank you to everyone for sharing their stories and tips :-) They are truly inspiring.
I have a couple of questions:
At what time of the day should I weight myself? Are mornings best?
How often should I weigh myself?

Mornings. Before you shower, but after you use the bathroom.
Most people I've noticed weigh in either Saturday mornings or Monday mornings.... whatever works for your schedule tho!

i think friday mornings are best. the same time and the same day of the week is what is reccomended. i guess it makes the weigh-in more accurate. typically, people stay on track during the work week becuase their time and meals have a schedule, and then the weekend is a bit off. this is why i think friday is a good day to do it, so you have enough time to recover from the weekend if needed. also, you are lightest in the morning after you go to the bathroom becuase your belly and bladder are empty.0

Definately mornings after using bathroom but before your shower! I would recommend not weighing more than once a week. Mostly for your own sanity!:laugh: As for what day of the week, I did Fridays for quite awhile, I've switched to Mondays. I've discovered that I am more accountable for my "actions" over the weekend when I wait until Monday to weigh in. Do what works for you.0

My official weigh in day is Monday - that's the day I record any losses on MFP - but I am one of those who weighs every singe day. I think it keeps me more on track, personally. I always weigh first thing in the morning, right after using the bathroom and before showering, completely nekkid. I don't need my chonies adding extra weight.

I weigh in every other Friday morning. Right after using the bathroom. And don't forget to take measurements. If you are gaining muscle the scale may not be the best judge of weight loss. I do my measuements once a month.0
