Smoothie help

So I tried making my first smoothie for breakfast today.
It went ok. Carrots, spinach, blueberries, strawberries, banana... Tolerable taste.
But the Chia seeds... They congeled into a wad at the bottom of my bottle.
How do you avoid that?

Thanks. It was fun scraping them out of the bottom of the bottle.0

Make the smoothie, pour it into your container, then add chia seeds and mix in well. Let it sit for a few minutes and the chia seeds will make the liquid thicker.0
