I am addicted to food. I have a love hate relationship with food. It doesn't turn me away when I need that emotional connection... If you guessed it I am a emotional eater. I have done this before and need to get back. I am done emotional eating but need some good cheap simple healthy diet recipes. I am a single mother who does not eat pork or fish. I am on a budget and need to get my life back :)

Check out Pinterest. Also there are some great blogs out there. Organize Yourself Skinny, Skinnytaste. And on the recipe board, there are some good recipes too.

I'm an emotional eater, too. Best thing I've done is tried to pay attention to my triggers and stay ahead of my mood. Easier said than done, for sure... but it's worth taking the time to do.

But more to your question - chicken and eggs are great staples of a budget-friendly diet. Chicken parm is easy, cheap, and good. Tacos are also a go-to for me. My kids love quesadiallas, and you make make them 100 different ways based on needs/preferences.

Ground turkey can be had pretty cheap also. Spaghetti sauce, chili, burgers, etc. can all be had pretty cheap and made delicious with turkey.
