So talking to a friend they told me about this app....i have been round and round trying to lose weight...which im sure that is everyone on here. i need to lose at least a 100. my salt intake is off the wall. And seems like an endless struggle to bring it down. Which is becoming so important now that my heart is having alot of problems with all the salt i intake. Liquor has turned into an every other day event. Which has been a big part of my weight gain! One success i have accomplished is im finally off of cigarettes. it took a long time but they have officially been put down. and i know to really lose weight i have to put down the brandy. for good. that is a big struggle. ive come to find that i just dont know how to go through my day, without one, drinking at some point, or two, recovering from it the next day. The worst things for us we seem to always enjoy the most. I really want a new beginning. id love to run again lol ...but my heart seems so weak....quite often my resting heart rate is 140...i'd love to find some people on my same level to track progress with

One day at a time sister. A year ago I admitted to being powerless over alcohol. I have been in a recovery program which has changed my life and perspective. Now that I have a stable level of sobriety, I am able to tackle the challenge of regaining my health by losing weight and focusing on exercise.
My sincere suggestion; deal with your drinking first. The health implications of excessive drinking is severe. The amazing thing is, by stopping drinking, your body will quickly respond. Your heart rate will stabilize, your breathing will become regular.

Hi all, be careful about tackling too many things at one time. That sets us up to fail. Learning about who we are and how we tick has bunches to do with the need to fill with food. I gained like crazy my first years because I never knew I had any middle ( moderation). Now I gain and at times have been way up, but I look at what got me there. Then do the sensible thing...best of luck to all one day at a time. With good sobriety comes practice not perfection! Hence my ongoing journey trying to stay healthy! 24 years, 5 months, 2 days0

I've been sober a long time. You'll have good days, bad days, and so so days, but if it's something you REALLY want....you'll do it. You can get help, support, join any number of recovery programs, 12 step or otherwise. But in in the end, it's all about you and how bad you want it.0
