meh, you probably wont want to eat anything. i have had 2 c sections, and I had tea, jello, and broth for a while, then got moved up to solids, but my stomach got queasy at the mention of meat/cheese/grease of any sort.

I ended up eating bowls of oatmeal ordered from the kitchen, bowls of fruit, drinking tea/coffee/water, and on my last day, eating a salad.

    Oh man, that sucks. :(

Sorry, but it all depends on the hospital and what they offer. I just transferred to an office where the hospital is connected to my building, so I can walk next door and get lunch. My cafeteria offers Chik-Fil-A, two entrees, two vegetable sides, two or three starch sides, salad and fruit bar, a variety of drinks including infused water, a sandwich/wrap station, fresh made sushi, etc. It changes every day. I have yet to eat over there (I brought my lunch this entire first week), but you bet your sweet *kitten* I'll be there every day next week!

Agree with what was said earlier (I stayed in hospital for 10 days in September '13). If you like your coffee...ask DH to go get you one since the hospital's will be quite weak, stick to the simple stuff since the good-tasting/complicated meals seem to be the worst and you can't really go wrong with toast or oatmeal though the oatmeal will be bland but they should give you a brown sugar packet though bring along dried fruit or something if you like it that way. Note I'm canadian so talking Canadian hospital food here but in general...Food served to patients isn't as great as the stuff served in the caf, and some foods generally taste better than others
