Pain while exercising?

I know it is normal to feel pain during workouts. But today, after I hopped off my bike, I decided to do level 1 of the 30DS. But at around one minute when I started. I felt this really painful, piercing and radiating pain from the frontal mid of my right shoulder, running down to my right boob then stops right at the appendix area. I stopped and tried to ignore it and went on but I didn't even last another 30 seconds and the same thing happened but the pain is worse which made me literally sit and end up rolling on the floor. Then it's gone. It goes away whenever I stop.
Then again, I am aware that pain comes with all these. But this one is different and it's hard to breathe whenever I feel it. I'm just wondering if I should keep going even if I felt it or should I stop? I'm going to see my doc tomorrow but I just wanted an answer today coz I'm kind of on a roll in working out.

Stop and talk to your doctor.0

I wouldn't do anything until you have spoken with your doctor, that doesn't sound normal at all.0

Pain is not normal in a workout. What's normal is the burning sensation that indicates your muscles are working and building lactic acid ( that's what creates muscle fatique not muscle soreness) the pain you describe is not normal at all and could indicate an injury. I'm not sure what type of exercise you were doing as I don't know the acronym you used, but I wouldn't try to work through something like that. Go to your doctor to make sure that you haven't injured anything. Once you're cleared of injury then I would suggest finding a trainer to show you proper form and technique so that you don't reinjury yourself.0

As others have said, if there's one important rule of exercise, it's that if you feel sharp pain while exercising, stop IMMEDIATELY. it means you're doing something wrong or something your body doesn't like.0

And this is coming from someone who screwed themselves up through injury and lost all their gains [myself back in 2010].
Seriously, don't do it.0 -
I did see my doc the next day and they said I was fine. I got a xray and that ultrasound for veins to see if any nerves got hit but all is normal. They didn't see anything at all. I described it exactly to them and said the quick and piercing pain could have been a nerve. But now I'm fine. I was told to observe it for this week then run right to the ER when I feel it again. Thanks guys.0
