Probably. Try gaining 16% of you body weight over a few weeks and not be "allowed" to take it off. Then squeeze into the same clothes. Yuck. Glad it's over half gone. And let me say, I didn't miss those Christmas cookies. I wasn't/ still am not letting anything slow me down. Even ran a 5K the other night with a 101.2 fever.

Egads. There's a fine line between dedicated and foolish. Be careful that you're on the right side of it.

Not trying to be mean, but there's dedicated and then there's foolish. Make sure you're on the right side. I'm not saying you are or aren't... I don't know anything about you, but there are a couple of red flags for me in this thread.

(LOL. Little scary how similar our posts were. One of us should probably be worried.)

I'm sorry you were ill and couldn't work out, I can't imagine how frustrating that is.

That being said, a deficit that huge with high mileage training combined with not resting when sick is going to compound your problems, not fix them. The last thing you want to do is land back in the hospital.

11 pounds is, objectively, not a lot of weight (even though it can feel like a lot). A 250 cal/day deficit is plenty, especially with your athletic goals. Full marathon training, for a specific time goal, at 1300 cals/day with not a lot of weight to lose? That's veering into crash and burn territory.

You should not be trying to lose 2lb s a week. That's too high a goal with only 11lbs to lose esp as you don't appear to eat back any exercise calories.

You're going to land yourself back in hospital, esp if you listen to some of the people on this thread.
