Hi!

I'm Kathie--been struggling with my weight for as long as I can remember. Since puberty, I guess. My husband is fairly close to a healthy weight (and looks healthy from the outside) and I have two kids--I want them to see me being healthy, and I want to see them graduate high school, get married, and I definitely want to see my grandchildren some day! Which means, I need to kick this weight problem in the rear NOW.

A friend suggested I use MFP and so far I love it. I am seriously motivated by receiving bad health news from my doctor, in this case I got a triglyceride count that was too high.

I've resisted the low carb lifestyle and calorie counting for most of my life, but now after trying it for 4 days I think I've been an idiot for a long time!

I need YOU all to help make it through to the long term!
