sure. find out how many calories a day you need to eat to maintain your current weight, then set your daily calorie goal below maintenance. so if you eat 2000 calories a day at your current weight, eat 1600-1800 calories a day, everyday.
use these to calculate:

A calorie deficit is eating fewer calories than you burn during the day.
1. Set up MFP: Goals -> Guided. Enter your weight, set your lifestyle as sedentary, and that you want to lose 2 pounds per week.
2. Log your food. Stay under your calorie budget.
3. Lose weight.0 -
If you'll just input your numbers into MFP it does it all for you.
