Has anyone gone to OA meetings? If so, did you find it helpful?

I have gone and found them helpful. The biggest thing I learned is the need for support and the need to not put myself in temptation with food that is too much for me. I have to avoid trigger foods, not necessarily by not having them at all, but not having total free access to them. I do that by getting just enough that me, my son, and husband can eat pretty much all of the trigger food at one sitting, so I will not be tempted with leftovers. We kind of blew it today in that department and I ended up having my maintenance day today instead of later in the week.
I would recommend going if you can find one close to you. The thing I really like about OA meetings is that they are free and really want to help people who have problems overeating when someone like a therapist only works with people who have the money or the insurance to cover it ( which I don't have either). I think it will work well if you work the program.0
