Hi Ladies,
Just wondering how many calories you guys are having a day?
I'm 5'11 and a half and weigh as of today 230lb! I'm aiming for between 1300-1400 a day, just wondering how many you guys are giving yourself? Thanks x

I'm 5'11. Right now at 160.8. I'm set for 1640 cal./day using the .5lb week calculation. I want to be about 155. Started on the 10th of Dec. at 166.4 so I've lost about 6lbs since.
I lost 45lbs in 2012 getting down to 147 - MFP works. That's why I'm back after taking a year off and gaining 20lbs. I obviously can't maintain my weight loss without logging.
If you are working out, eat back 1/2 those calories too. I'm aiming to just watch my diet and get back to working out when the weather warms up. I'm not a gym kinda girl - I prefer to be outside but not in these temperatures. I have my limits. LOL
Good luck!. If you have trouble staying under 1400 I think you have some lee-way and you'll still lose weight, just not at fast as you may want. But this isn't a race, it's a marathon. Doing it the healthy way helps your body and your state of mind.0 -
I'm 5ft9, having set my goal to 1.5lbs a week I get a calorie limit of 1480 per day. This is really not enough for me so I have been logging my exercise and eating those calories (and sometimes more) which is something I really didn't want to do.
Today will complete my first full week and I will do my week 1 weigh in tomorrow morning. Regardless of the result I am doing to change my WL goal to 1lb per week each I gives c 1700 cals per day and stick to that and not log/eat exercise calories.
I think it depends on each individual person. I am a hungry girl and a low allowance just doesn't work for me!
Good luck and feel free to add me as a friend x0 -
Sorry I should have said I am 178 lbs with 30lbs to lose. I have been up at 200 before so know how it is!0

I'm 5'8, currently 168lb, target 0.5lb per week...I should net 1570 basic but generally eat 1800-1900 calories averaged across the week0

I'm 6' 0" and currently 180 lbs. Started at 212 lbs. I eat an average of 1800-1900 calories. I am doing P90x3 right now and burn about 500 calories a day so my net calories are between 1300-1400.
Don't try to eat that little if you are working out, you will lose muscle and that just looks gross. Believe me, years ago I lost 35 lbs in 3 months eating 1200 cals a day and burning 600-800 cals a day. I got skinny really fast, but I was hungry, weak and I looked terrible naked. It is completely worth it to eat more and lose weight slower.0 -
I'm 5'11" started at 192 eating 1650 plus exercise calories. I'm down to 162 and moved my calories down to 1450. I wear a hrm for exercise and I just assume its accurate and aim to eat most back. Sometimes I have 300 cal left sometimes 0 and lately still loosing 1+ lbs a WK!
If u feel that's not enough then its prob not. Adjust your goals or activity setting to give u more. Use that setting for 1-2 wks to see how your body reacts.0 -
I'm not as tall as you guys at 5'8", but am currently netting around 1700 for a 1 lb loss per week. This tends to equate to 2000-2600 calories, depending on the day, because I eat most of my exercise calories back too.0

I'm 5'10" 185 lbs. I try to eat around 1500 for 1 lb per week weight loss.0
