    A calorie deficit makes me lose weight, exercise makes me happy. If you don't have downstairs neighbors or they're deaf, you can jump rope, dance (hell I dance in the kitchen when I'm cooking), and do lots of other things like crunches, pushups, jumping jacks, whatever. Up to you entirely though. Do what gives you energy and motivates you and makes you happy.

    Elias, if you can't afford a gym membership.. don't despair. There are many things that you can do that will allow you to build muscle as you lose weight. Simple exercises that use the weight of your body work well. Some examples - 1. you can do light pushups by leaning into a wall and pressing against it. 2. sit-ups, start with 3 sets of 10. 3. Tuck your feet under a piece of furniture. 4. Lay on the floor and do leg lifts etc. You get the idea. Look up home exercises and use those to get started. Walk and as you lose weight start to run.

    Keep after it and you will do fine.
