Just wondering, if tomorrow I have a higher carb day than usual, should I have a lower carb day the next day?

Whether you do high or low carb, calorie deficit will result in weight loss. It doesn't matter.

If you weigh in frequently and are going from low to high carb, temporary water weight may mask losses. So, watch out for that. In the grand scheme of things, it will even out though. High or low carb is really personal preference. If you perform better with one way or the other, stick to it. There's no necessity in jumping around.

Why would it matter how many carbohydrates you consume?

Just make sure you're in a caloric deficit, and you'll lose weight.

I focus more on areas where I'm not getting enough, so if I have a low-protein day I try to make up for it the next day, etc. There's nothing wrong with going high carb-low carb, but it isn't necessary for weight loss.
