So happy to not have to see Romo anymore this season. Now, if the same can just happen to Brady. Go Pack!0

Am one happy Packers fan today... in a sea of depressed Bronco fans dang already talk of Fox being fired, Mannimg retiring... getting rid of all the coaches Demver fans won't rest on this one anyways GO Packers....
Well, Manning retiring after his last few games seems to be a real possibility. He has had one of the all time great comebacks but this might be a good time for him to hang it up. The skills can go fast and he doesn't want to go after a dismal season that showed that he hung around a little too long (Favre anyone?).

Yeah, Romo might be a 'Sconnie by birth but he isn't one now. My friend's brother coached him in Peewee football in Burlington and isn't a fan.

Me too. I have watched him since he was a rookie and there was a significant drop off this year. Granted, Manning at 75% is better than most at 100% but every player has to hang it up some time and very few can hang it up after a Super Bowl win like Elway.

I was sad to see Manning leave the field with his head down. Even after a loss, fans were cheering for him as he left. That says a lot about him, the team, and the fans.0

Just a casual observer with no liking for either team, but did anyone see the last Dallas play of the game? They were robbed. Watch the replay, it is being shown over, and over, and over, and over and will be shown over, and over, and over, and over.0

It was not a catch...he did not have control of the ball, which is the rule. The same rule was used last weekend in the Detroit/Cowboys game - with the call going against Detroit.0

Depends on the replay. The one from the corner behind the endzone where the ball is visible the entire time clearly shows he did not maintain control. Mostly it was Bryant's fault for trying to extend his arm into the end zone. If he had pulled it to his chest and put both arms around the ball, he would have been able to maintain control.

I loved Brett, still love the guy ... he gave it a good shot with the Viks too... Don't be surprised if Denver people start chanting Tebow...Tebow.. Tebow....over Elways dead body.

Hoping for a Colts/Packers Super Bowl!!!!!
Me too, Packers and Colts, baby!!!I'm a Pack fan in Seattle, help me!
Don't feel bad. My brother is a Packers fan who lives within shouting distance of Gillette Stadium. He even has his Packers stock certificate framed and on his wall at work.
He will never not be a Packers fan. He was born in Green Bay and the doctor who delivered him moonlighted on Sundays as the Packers team physician back in the old days of the NFL when the teams did not have their own medical staff. (I was born and raised elsewhere in Wisconsin but have been a lifetime Packers fan too)
I agree with Chuck 363, it will take a Herculean effort for our Packers in Seattle. But on the other hand, what about karma? Those Seahawks seem so full of themselves, struttin' and showing off. I wonder if complete lack of humilty can come back and bite them in the butt, hm?
I heard that the catch/no-catch issue is about control versus possession, which are entirely different things. Apparently Dez had control of the ball. But while rolling, the ball was free in the air without his hands on it - just for a second! But in that second he did not have posession, so it was called an incomplete pass.

Thank you!!! 75% Rodgers vs 25% seahawks QB!!?? Wow. Those are some numbers... They're picking Pack over Hawks[/quote]
Um, actually nobody is picking the Packers. They're a 7-8 point dog.

The rule also states that the ball could have moved the way it did if he made a "football move" prior, which he did be extending for the goal line. Even referee guy on fox indicated so and said "maybe he should have stretched more" (or something of the like).
Sorry, it isn't as cut and dry as "that's the rule".0 -

Nope, it was all about the ball moving when making contact with the ground, and the debate over whether or not he made a move "common to the game". If they would have ruled Bryant's extension for the goal line after ~3 steps "a move common to the game or football move" the ball could have jumped 10 ft in the air and it wouldn't have mattered.

Blah blah blah. Kidding! I get that it's a hard rule to make sense of...it's an odd one.0 -
