All of my fat seems to store around my stomach (abs, love handles, and lower back) I will take any advice I can get about this. I'd love to have that flat stomach.

Getting flat abs is about getting low body fat. It takes dedication, exercise and careful dieting.

If you exercise, you can suck it in easier, but when it comes to losing fat, it pretty much happens without any control from you.

That's kinda The Human Condition, right? We all store belly fat when consuming too much.

Lose fat, get a flatter tummy.

It's not Rocket Surgery, is it?

I'm the same way, so I feel your pain. I get those rolls that never seem to budge.

Unfortunately we can't choose where we lose fat first. It's different for everyone.

Focus on your overall weight loss and it will come off. I've been all over the place, weight wise, and my midsection is always the last place to become noticeably smaller.

To speed up overall fat loss, you can try building more muscle. This will ensure that you burn more fat at rest. Your midsection will definitely get smaller as long as you are eating right and toning your muscles, but it will happen in your body's natural time frame.

I do have one tip, for our body type though!

Personally, one thing that helps me is ab exercises. It doesn't zap off the belly fat instantly, but with flatter abs, my rib cage looks smaller and my belly doesn't "hang out" so much. I promise it will make a noticeable difference within a week, even if you haven't lost all the fat yet. My shirts and bras fit better when I do ab work. Try a DVD workout focused on mat work. 10 minute solution, Jillian Michaels, etc. are great. I've been doing Ballet Beautiful 60 minute classic workout (it's customizable so you can do 10 minute segments).
