I started taking metformin for diabetes in the end of Oct. I had a follow up blood test. My glucose and A1C are normal. HDL is great, triglycerides are much better. everything is moving in the right direction. On her scale I lost 5 lbs, but on mine I am maintaining. I know some of it was me eating less carbs, balancing meals and moving more and a big part was the medicine. But, it really gives me hope I can turn this around. My life has been in turmoil is this was one good thing.

I started taking metformin once a day right after Christmas - boy it's made a difference for me. I will probably get more blood work done next weekb ut my liver counts have been way off and all teh other numbers have hung at borderline so my pcp said she recommended I try metformin once a day - think it's a small dose. I think immediately cravings stopped- the uncontrollable urge to eat anything and everything in sight - I still get hungry but seem better able to cope. seems that and owrking shift so i"m tired were destroying my health but for the first time I feel I have a shot at making this worth. hoping my bloodwork will show this but I feel better already and it's barely been maybe 2 weeks of exercise (which I wasla lways too tired for before - still tired but not unbearably so)
