anyone have mio petite women's heart rate monitor

Hi I just recived a Mio 0017US-PINK2 Motiva Petite Women's Heart Rate Monitor Watch. I tried to use if for the first time last night. After I completed my exercise video I checked to see my calories burned it said zero. The timer works and all the other features. Just wanted to know if anyone else has had this issue? This is my second heart rate montior but its not made by the same company as the first. I just dont seem to have luck with these things.
