A bit sad

After a wedding a year and a half ago I was horrified by the photos of myself and lost lots of weight on the 5/2 over the space of a year(which I thought was a long time to be on a diet!). However, after a really difficult year career wise I became clinically depressed last summer and quickly piled loads back on and then had an operation on my leg a couple of months ago and am only now getting back on my feet. The tape measure tells me I'm back where I started...so fed up and sick of it all. I know its just an excuse really but I work a long way away from home and so leave home at 6.30 am and not back till 8pm or later. Don't really want to gym and swimming would involve putting on a costume and feel ashamed of my appearance. I'm sure I'm not at all unique...if you were in this position what did you do ? How did you get over this ?

Well you're not going to like it. You just have to admit to yourself that you made poor choices that took you back to the beginning, then you have to want to change badly enough to make the time to eat right and exercise enough to get your heart healthier. If you are struggling with depression, you should seek professional help with that. Good luck to you.0

You're not alone. There are 1000's of us out there who have lost weight then put it back on - if we didn't we'd all be slim! I have done the same. 2 years ago I was very slim and the weight has crept on. Now I don't recognise myself but I'm on a journey to get fit and healthy and you can too. Try and visualise yourself wearing a lovely dress and feeling confident. Try and meal plan too (I used to work ALL the time) you can do this0
