Hello,
I am reintroducing myself. I did well on MFP a couple years ago but when grad school and teaching got to overwhelming I fell off.
Now I am back and my goal is to focus on physical fitness more than what I do on the scale. To that end I have signed myself up for a Super Sprint Triathlon in August of this year. My wife and I are swimming 3 days a week and I am starting lessons tommorow to work on proper form. I have cycled a lot over the years and that will come next.
Jogging will be hard. Even when I was in best shape I had a hard time with jogging. OH and I am recovering from a broken ankle, so that will be fun.
So thats me; 100 lbs over my perosnal goal weight, many more pounds over what is considered a health weight for my height, ankle still tender (I'm in PT), working full time, and completing a dissertation.
I am not sure what I will be like in 8 months, but come hell or high water (that they are going to make me swim across) I will be finishing that race.
