I haven't seen this mentioned (and I've read the whole thread!), but as I no longer need to pull my shirts down when I stand because they no longer ride up above my hips and bunch up. I just stand and they naturally slide down where they belong6

I just discovered one now that the weather is warmer and I'm not always wearing a coat: my seatbelt uncomfortable rubs against my collarbone. I guess I had padding there before; now I don't.1

maybe TMI but I noticed as the pounds drop my libido goes up...maybe it's because I am more confident and feel better in my skin or maybe it's a chemical/hormonal response since I am living healthier....either way my fiance isn't complaining haha6

I used to pound down antacids all the time because I needed to. I would buy them 3 or 4 bottles at a time. The day I began eating smarter and healthier, my heartburn went away the *next* day. It's been nearly a month. I've lost 9 pounds and my bottle of antacids is gathering dust. To me, this was as big a victory as the weight loss.
I seriously wondered if this was just me. Friends and family looked at me like I was crazy when I told them this. I'm glad I'm not the only one!

I usually stay out of the forums because it seems negative so much of the time. This thread has made my day! What fun to look forward to!!2

It's not a myth. While your wiener doesn't physically get bigger the fat around it goes away making it appear bigger.

Odd, it's the oposite for me. The logistics of getting laid seem just worth messing up my gym schedule.. late nights, dinners, drinks, they all seem teeedious! But that said I can see how it can have a positive effect if you are not single:)

I thought I had completely passed the age where guys would cat-call me on the street but nope, they are back again.1

I'm fat what can I say... but I'm trying to lose, just a shout out, I found a really good place to get plus size fitness stuff to wear for motivation, some of the funniest tees out there it's a site called FlirtyDivaTees I ordered some shirts, can't wait for them to arrive, this is the second order I've placed with this company because they have plus sizes and they FIT ME!!! LOL-32

I don't mind having my photo taken as much. I'm far less afraid to try new things. I'm also far more outgoing. I'm not hiding from the world as I was.2

every now and then i look at my fingers, and i can't help but notice that they don't look the same, so i often just stare at my fingers because the look so skinny and inspire me to keep losing weight. also, my face and hair look soo much better, also i used to have heart burn almost everyday, but since i started eating better, i maybe get heart burn once every few months, which is one of my favorite bonuses because heart burn sucked.3

@ek0513 Definitely yes to the hair and skin. I HAD bad cystic acne. I hit under 200lbs and after a month of under 200 it's like it vanished into the wind(unless I eat dairy, then one pops up). I remember when I was at 160-ish and lived in Odessa the hard water didn't seem to affect my hair very much and when I put on weight, it dried it out and made it stringy. Now it's beginning to get back to its old self(although Bastrop water isn't AS bad as Odessa water)!3 -
My fingers lace together so much more comfortably!! Used to be they would get tingly or numb when I laced them now they slide together perfectly!1

That's one of the things I'm most looking forward to...!

I have not been horseback riding in a long time because of being overweight. I'm looking forward to when I lose enough to be able to ride again.

I was sitting on a bench the other day and realized I had my legs crossed! I've had to move my watch strap five holes smaller. My neck looks longer! I'm 40 down and still have 60 to go, but I'm so happy to see progress. I've always given up before I get to the point where it's really noticeable.1

Fitting better in my car!! It never occured to me before that this was something that would be effected1

Lol Me too! I was like, jeez, is this really supposed to be this difficult???
Same here. I literally cannot successfully shave my arm pits in the shower anymore. I guess people who were always thin figured it out so I will too.
OMG theres one spot I just cant get to... it drives me insane every time and I end up cutting myself with the razor cause I try so hard to get in there0 -

This is such a great victory! Also, I don't have to sit with weird posture all the time because I'm afraid of how my fat is sticking out if I lean one way or another.2 -
I bought a pleated skirt. The pleats lay flat for the first time in my entire life. Amazing.
I make more room for others on public transportation1 -
I'm only about 9 lbs down, this time. A few years ago I had lost 34 and was starting to feel pretty good. I guess I just can't really believe that I could ever be "normal sized" so reading these is really great.0

I lost about 40 lbs in the last 18 months, but additionally I gained at least 10 lbs of muscle. I dropped about 9 inches off my waist. The pleasant surprise is I am considerably more attractive to the opposite sex and women treat me differently. I did this mostly for me, to feel better and be healthier, and to have more energy and confidence and like who I see looking in the mirror. So, getting looked at and flirted with is a really nice pleasant surprise.0

I dont feel the compulsion to eat at specific times if im hungry or not, lunchtime and dinnertime really arent so important on the clock any more. I can walk down asiles in the supermarket and not be lured by brightly coloured sweet treats just because they are there either. Now as someone who was an easter egg addict that really is something, to just walk past them and not feel like I have to buy one get one free was a hell of an achievement for me this year.7

I can't speak for very many changes. I've only lost 5lbs in the last month and a half (bear in mind I have a 70-90lbs goal) But a few small things i've noticed:
1)Donuts, pizza, cookies cakes, etc that all my co-workers bring in....no longer very tempting. I literally have a pile of goodies sitting behind me right now. Old me wouldve had like 3-6 servings by now. Current me is like "It looks decent but eh don't want it"
----perfect example to elaborate this, I had chocolate ice cream (Bryers low carb) last night w/ light cool whip......Wasn't satisfied at all. (And i realized how I used to eat like 6 servings in one bowl as a kid--yikes!)
2)I actually like to go outside with my son and partner and try to jog around the neighborhood with them. Even if I am as slow as a snail and run out of breath.
3)Water, like crazy, I rarely reach for a juice/soda/energy drink
4) Naturally happier and getting slightly better sleep
5) I used to make excuses not to go to the gym, now i'm slightly down when I miss my workout. (Aka, I missed it yesterday and feel bad/guilty)
6) Eating healthier isn't a punishment. I love sweet potatoes, spaghetti squash, flounder, etc, yum! And some food makes a lot of servings before they even remotely have too many calories
7) There will almost always be dishes in the sink....cooking, eating, cleaning. Vicious cycle when most stuff is fresh or cooked from scratch instead of boxes, freezer meals, or fast food

40lbs down now and I'm so much happier! I'm just really happy all the time!! I used to be so lazy too.. Laying around was my favorite thing to do and now I feel like I need to be up and moving around ALL THE TIME1

Um my jacket sleeves are longer. Either my arms have shrunk in length or I'm smaller somewhere lol0
