Front squat vs back squat

Can someone please tell me the difference...I got my barbell set and was looking for different exercises and some sites said to do a back squat and others a front squat....I want to really give my legs a good workout so would it hurt to do both?

    Front squats put more emphasis on the quads and less on the glutes.

    I was going to do crossed arm and the front of my thighs are big so guess Ill be adding lots of those in..Thanks
