Probably been asked before, but do I log my workout in MFP or just let FITBIT sync and figure it out?

  • If you're running/walking or generally anything that a pedometer can track, it should work itself out, but if you're doing something like a stationary bike or any kind of strength training, you'll have to log it yourself.

I've had a fitbit for 6 months or so. The only exercise I've ever logged directly has been swimming because I can't take my zip into the water with me. I've used it for Zumba, bicycling (lots of trial on this and I personally find it to be reasonably accurate if you place on a pant leg), treadmill, eliptical, jumping jacks, mall walking, etc. Somehow any underestimates work themselves out because my calorie deficit to date has worked out almost directly with my weight loss.
