Frozen Veg and Chicken - Weights/Calories

Hey,

Wondering if anyone has any insight or experience. Realised today that i am weighing frozen veg and chicken in its frozen state and recording it as that. The items in my diary are the frozen products (i.e. i barcode scanned the packaging so MFP knows its frozen). Part of my diet is, for example, 100g of veg and 200g of chicken. When i weight this, have i been doing this correctly by weighing out 200g of chicken from the bag frozen, cooking and eating, or should effectively be defrosting it first before?

As its a frozen scanned product, i would assume that the nutritional information would reflect that?

Thought of it as i was cooking just now and thought i should get some clarification.

Thanks all!
Jason

I weigh my items frozen when they're frozen and log them the same as the thawed items. I think the little bit of water that melts off is insignificant in the grand scheme of things.
  • Thanks for the reply! Think ill keep it the same. Just checked packaging again and it does not say anything about it being in thawed state, so i would assume the nutritional info must reflect what is being sold..

    Thanks again!
