I love tofu! And I think it's pretty good for you unless you're a woman who has been told to stay away from soy because of estrogen issues.

It has relatively little taste -- takes on the taste of the sauce or items that are cooked with it.

everyone always says it has no taste and tastes just like whatever else is in the mix. It does kind of take on other flavors, but I can taste it. I wouldn't describe it as "good", but not really "terrible," either. Kind of "tolerable."

You really have to try it for yourself, but try it IN something, not just on it's own.

    :)

I don't necessarily meant does it taste good or bad, I was asking more about a nutritional standpoint.

I like tofu. It's very versatile and adapts well to a lot of recipes. I try to eat very little meat, so tofu is a good staple with a lot of vegetarian cooking and it adds protein to meals.

It depends on your goals. You get more protein in chicken breast for the same number of calories.

I like tofu, especially when cooked under the broiler or dry-fried in a screaming hot pan. Or deep fried, or in soup.

    Ok I really like tofu.

I like it very fresh, sliced, and put on two pieces of bread with Gulden's mustard.
    (I am lazy that way.)
