Oh how I've missed you all!!

I'm Tash, 28 from a small country town in Barnesville, Ohio (about 20 minutes from Wheeling, WV) I'm a middle school teacher and mommy to an almost 3-year-old and a 10-month old. I've been with my hubby for 10 years & he is a local police officer.
I can't express how much I have missed this group! I've been a hottie since it started! Not only do we all help each other out health wise, but with LIFE. It's amazing the friendships that have developed. Thank you Kerri for always being our strong leader, you are and have always been an inspiration! One of my favorite quotes is "God doesn't give you the people you want, but the people you need. To help you, hurt you, and to make you the person you are meant to be. We are all together for a reason, to help each other be better!
I started MFP 4 years ago to help keep me on track. I've always been self conscience of my looks & weight because I was in an abusive relationship in high school. I've always been active because of playing sports my whole life, but in college I found out I had an enlarged ventricle in my heart from open heart surgery that I had when I was 5. They told me to be active to keep my heart in check. In 2009 I trained and ran my first 5k to help stay in shape for my wedding. I've been hooked with running ever since. In 2013, I ran my first 1/2 marathon & I shocked the crap out of my cardiologist. In April I will run my 2nd & I've recruited 2 newbies to run with me! Having a heart condition has made me take care of myself and with my stubbornness and determination, I always challenge myself. Trying to stay somewhat in shape has honestly
Helped my heart and doctors are impressed with my prognosis every time.
I'm learning it's not so much about being "skinny", but more about how u feel mentally and physically. Running and working out makes me a better person (all around). The hubby def notices when I haven't had a good work out (I get cranky)
