Hello, I have a question, but first excuse my english i'm german
I want to buy a jawbone up and my question is, is the up24 worth the double price of an up? As I see the only big difference is the bluetooth sync. Are there any advantages that makes it worth the double price? If I sync manually with my smartphone few times during the day, are there any big disadvantages for me? Maybe one of you had booth and could help me. I tried google but it wasn't satisfying.
Thank you

I paid $99 for my up24 last August on special at a fitness conference. I believe they are less than that now, but I could be wrong. I'm not familiar with the earlier one and there's a new one either already out or coming out.

I like bluetooth devices - this one holds a charge for 2 weeks, which is great. It has it's problems - it's over optimistic about the calory count for specific activities and lately it's been reading my fiber from MFP as double - but they said that's an MFP issue.

I also had to have them replace mine once because it was defective, but the company is pretty responsive if you call customer support.

I love my UP24. I bought it after Christmas in the apple store. I find it really motivating to track your food, sleep and activity rates. It also post helpful comments and suggestions.

If you manually synch the Up to your phone I probably don't think it is worth you buying the UP24 however personally, I like the fact that it synchs via Bluetooth. I found the charge lasts a week (not two weeks as the poster above me wrote.)

I have had both and I found that I liked the UP better than the UP24 because I found that the Bluetooth sync drained my iPhone battery in just a couple hours while I was wearing it.

    Otherwise they are the same.

I had the jawbone up and it was a pain to sync it to my phone all the time. I just got the 24 and love that it syncs automatically. I did notice today some battery drainage, but I charge my phone at night so I don't think it would be too big of an issue. I just got mine on Amazon for $75.
