Attack of the snacks

I lost 67 lbs on a ketosis diet( super hard to stay on), in 4 months. After struggling with cravings I dropped the diet and gained 10lbs back. Now I'm starting on a 1200 cal diet and workouts. I'm finding I'm dieing to snack on something, although I'm not giving in, my mind keeps floating to fantasy's of salty and sweet. I had a filling protein shake this morning, but can't shake the craving. I've been trying to snack on apples or fruit. I wish I could think of something more filling without the guilt. Any idea's?

Cravings are the body's way of telling us that we need something. Listen to your cravings, eat those things in moderation, and reduce consumption of other things so that you stay within your calorie goal.

I've been eating bits and pieces throughout the day. For example, yesterday I had a small bowl of soup in between breakfast and lunch and then I had some sushi a little bit later, after what should have been my lunch but before dinner. I still see this as snacking in a fashion, I've just made better choices than I previously would have (sushi > packet of oreos).

At first I thought it probably wasn't a good idea to eat in this way but I've not been struggling to stay under goal (even though it's only my first couple of weeks and I've moved from an extremely calorific, high-fat diet).

It's made me question whether three meals per day suits the modern woman. I start work early, I often finish late, I have hobbies, people to see, things to do. Eating little and often seems more practical. When I stick to rigid eating teams and three meals a day, it all seems to go out of the window.

Sorry, 1200 calories may not be enough for you!
If you workout-MFP gives you more calories.
Eat back 1/2+ depending on your hunger!
    Include treats into your day!
