Fruit & Veggie Smoothies (Not using a juicer)

What are your thoughts on fruit/veggie smoothies? Done is a bullet? Seeing lots of recipes, not sure if it is worth my time to make these or not. Are they good for lunch/breakfast at work? Do you add protein powder?

Opinions please!

I have a nutribullet and I love it. I put in 50% greens and add fruit, nuts and flax seeds in various combinations. I usually have it for breakfast and it keeps me full till after lunch. You need your greens to balance your GI so you don't get too much sugar from your fruit.

I also have a nutribullet and I love it as well! I mix spinach greens in the bottom then add fruit and half water half fruit juice of some kind and that is my breakfast that keeps me full and satisfied until lunch or later sometimes! It looks green and gross but it tastes good and I put ice cubes in mine to keep it cold longer so it lasts the morning. My kids even drink these shakes some times and you can come up with any combo you want to add to it.

I love this recipe, and it is easy to swap what you have (pineapple instead of apple, for example)

It feels great to get an extra serving of greens, easily. I add a low carb protein powder occasionally, just depends on the flavors and what else i'm eating.

I have a magic bullet (I think) and make a smoothie every morning, keeps me full for a couple hours. I usually drink it around 8 and eat lunch around 11:00 which is what works for my current work schedule. The smooth is always a banana, protein powder, dry oats and some kind of frozen fruit (mixed berries, strawberries or peaches are my favorite). Its usually somewhere around 275-310 calories depending on the weight of the banana and how much protein powder I add. If I want more calories I will sometimes add chia seeds or greek yogurt. I haven't yet been able to add veggies to mine...its a mental thing I just can't get past.

i use my blender - blend for a while and then use the liquify setting to make sure there are no giant spinach chunks :) i switch up my smoothies, but this morning i used kefir (trying instead of greek yogurt), spinach, banana, blueberries, chia seeds, and some water. I've also added cucumbers, pineapple, nut/seed butters, etc.
