I am trying to up my protein with out killing my calories for the day. As soon as I get some bills out of the way I will be buying protein powder. In the mean time some one told me to get some beef jerky to snack on instead of granola bars and what not. I do eat an aldis fit and active strawberry protein meal bar on occasion but I would like some other options. What are some good brands of beef jerky? Also while I am at it what are some good brands of protein powder that wont break the bank?

Don't buy the cheap jerky - that's nasty. I like to actually look at the jerky in the store and whichever one looks most like meat is what I purchase.
I'd also suggest Ostrim. It is yummy and low calorie. http://www.amazon.com/Ostrim-Protein-Ostrich-Natural-1-5-Ounce/dp/B001CU0N36 I get it from Amazon or a local health store like the Vitamin Shop.
For cheap protein powder that tastes good, has lots of flavors and is easy for me to find in stores I use Designer Whey.0 -

Nick's Sticks is a pretty clean version and actually pretty good. It is more of a meat stick form than a jerky, but I enjoyed it a lot and it has helped me with reaching my protein goals!0
