Wanting to re-do 30 day Shred but...

I'm recovering from a broken arm. In November I broke it in six places and had surgery to have a plate and pins put in. My doctor has only released me to do workouts that contain no weight bearing exercises and I can only use 1 pound wights. I really love 30DS and want to start it but not sure if it would be worth it. I'd have to substitute something in the place of all the push-ups, planks and anything else my arm can't handle yet. Any suggestions?

Wow! i am so sorry about your arm! glad you are ok now that congrats on the recovering, i know it can be a loong and daunting task. I always say if you have an upper body injury your lower body still works fine, that means any ab and leg work is fair game, try sticking to the video that focus on those area or look for a different program.0

Hi! I've done 30DS before, and there are really no exercises to replace those planks, pushups, etc. In fact, I wouldn't even recommend slinging around any weights just yet. I had a wrist injury a year ago, and it took months of patiently training back to doing regular pushups again. Whenever you can't use both sides of your body evenly, you will have the risk of overworking the healthier side by making it carry any excess load.
How about training your endurance with some high intensity interval training. Sprints, plyometric exercises, cardio circuits, spin bike....everything that won't involve your arms just yet. Work your way back into it slowly by adding incline pushups. If you are a Jillian Michaels fan, check out her kickboxing cardio routines. That's also very demanding. The boxing moves are easy on the arms, and the leg work is literally kicking butt.
Good luck, get well soon!0
