After stopping Insanity after Day 37 last week because of pain in my knees, I finally made a doctor's appointment after a week of not exercising and no change in how my knees were feeling. I was told that I overworked them and that I needed to rest up until they get better. He said it could be a few days or it could be a few weeks or even a month or two....
I was given an anti-inflammatory medication that I will take for 5 days and see if my knees improve. If not, he said I will probably have to get steroid injections.
This being said, I will most likely not be doing Insanity again, I was actually planning on starting Les Mills Combat while I rest my knees but the doctor said nothing more than every day walking until they are better.
So now I am looking for other things that I can do. I want to do Ab Ripper X and Cardio Abs and I can also go to the gym and do some work on my arms. I originally wanted to burn body fat before working specifically on muscles but I suppose doing it the other way around works just the same.
I was really enjoying the cardio workouts and burning calories and I will miss it, but Ill get back again.

Lifting weights (even if just your upper body) and doing ab work to build muscle will burn body fat. Get it done!0
