    A salad. Oatmeal. An apple.

I just answered this yesterday. Learn your fibers.

Add fiber slowly to your regimen as fiber will bring bowels to full attention and fartability.

My go to fiber source is pinto bean. One of the most nutritious food you can find in stores without added sugar, that has very high quality protein(not complete protein, but very close) and a little bit of healthy fat.

One serving, about 3 to 4 Tbsp of cooked pinto bean has 80 calories and 8 grams of fiber. 1 gram of fiber per 10 calories, that's insane.

Yes, beans (they are the magical fruit, after all, lol)! I strive to eat 100-150g of pinto or black beans (or navy and Great Northern are good, too) daily. That's ~9-15g fiber right there. Oatmeal (and other whole grains), lots of veggies, and fruit round out the rest of the day for me (which I aim for 30-40g daily, my "happy" balance).

Avocados!!!! Avocados have A TON of fiber in them. They are one of the superfoods, like blueberries, and contain the most healthy plant oils you can find. Fiber accounts for about 85% of the total carbs in an avocado. So, check your wednesday grocery ads, they are often on sale. I wont spend more than $1 on one, if that.

I try to eat a lot of veggies like broccoli or cauliflower. Beans are great, too. And whole grain rye bread is a staple of mine.
Also adding in some flax seed and wheat bran to your oatmeal or yogurt is a great source of fiber.
