Am I not eating enough?

Options
Hi all, I've got 40lbs to lose, MFP suggests 1300 cals a day but I find I usually have around 1100 does this mean I will lose weight quicker or will it have an adverse effect if I don't eat the full amount?

The difference between 1100 and 1300 calories is probably within the margin of error with food logging. If you're concerned about it or start to see adverse affects (changes in mood, energy levels, focus, gym performance, etc) then have a handful of nuts or some avocado or a drizzle of olive oil or an extra snack bar or a little cheese or some dark chocolate and that'll boost your calories pretty quickly.

Love the idea of adding some dark chocolate :-)

Dark chocolate is my favorite way to boost my iron. Semi-sweet chocolate chips are great, too!

I'm not hitting the fat quota either so maybe that's a good idea!

If you are using low-calorie/low-fat/sugar-free versions of anything, use the regular versions to bump up the calories.

If I had an extra 200 calories, I'd be all over a spoonful of peanut butter.
