Hi I have been using MFP for a couple of weeks now the app is fantastic helping me keep track of what I'm am eating and was amazed at the different utensils it has. Since my first week tracking my food I have now come to a point that I am not achieving my daily targets. Don't get me wrong I'm eating exteamly healthy but seem to fill up quick by end of day I have at least 200 cals left and not hungry I reduced my daily level to 1600 a day. What am I doing wrong? Help!!!

Open up your diet and share your height/weight and we can give more targeted advice, but if upping your caloric intake is what your goals require, calorie-dense foods like oils and nuts help.

You may be perfectly fine. That may be your level for sustained loss. What is the scale saying?

Liking the different utensils/utilities, eh? ;)

Yeah great first week lost almost 6lb. I'm trying to keep to weighing my self once a week to start with. Thing is I I'm a man who loves his food and used to eat a lot more than this so thanks for your reply and yeah all the utensils n stuff are great.

Height 5,10 weight was 19st 3 lb diet is very varied plenty of chicken fish n veg very little bread and most dishes cooked from scratch. Just seem to fill up quick now lol. Shouldn't complain I suppose ha ha
  • We seem to have the same issue at our house. My husband is almost always 300 calories under and I am about 200. We eat lots of veggies and fish and chicken. We eat rice once or twice a week. We eat soy chicken patties and veggie burgers. Some fruit, like watermelon and bananas. I make salads. Really can't think of what else to eat. We have added snacks like whole wheat crackers with humus, goldfish, sugar free pudding, sugar free jello, skinny cow bars..we are never hungry.
  • I am the same way, having calories left over. As long as you are eating all your meals and snacks a day and feel healthy losing weight or maintaining, don't dwell on using all those calories up.
