I don't log alcohol consumption. DUH. So easy to forget that those drinks you have every so often have calories too! I just had a face palm moment. So here is another question, if you don't mind...
I don't drink often, maybe every two or three weeks, just one evening, but probably upwards of 4-7 drinks, anything from wine to a vodka mixer.
How do I maintain progress and still be able to have those evenings?

Honestly, I've had to cut back on these nights, had a few too many of them over the holidays! But I'm like you, probably once every 2 or 3 weeks. What I do is try to 'save' a few extra calories in the week leading up to what I know will be a bit night, and do a big workout as well that morning. That way I can still have the drinks and fit it into my weekly goal. Also, be aware of how many calories are in different drinks- vodka with diet soft drink or soda water is the best, calorie wise, by alcohol content. When I have one of those nights I also pre-log the drinks I plan to have, and work the rest of my calories around that. :)

Hi everyone!! I just have a question, my mother in law recently replaced dinner with a cup of Green Tea in the evenings and has lost 17 lbs in 3 weeks due to this. Has anyone heard of a doctor approving this? Hers did and I was surprised, but it's working quite well for her, and I am beginning to consider adding that to my routine now..advice?

Advice would be not to do it.

    Hey there!

I just wanted to say that I did the Insanity program recently and had great results. I only skipped 2 workouts (because of a hangover, lol). I didn't have much to lose, only a few lbs, but I did it mainly to get my heart pumping and get my body moving. I aimed for an average of 1800 calories per day, including alcohol, and not eating more just because I exercised.

Insanity is quite hard, and I would recommend pausing the program when you feel like you need to have a break. Also go slower with some of the exercises so you can really "get into it", as in go lower in your squats, higher in your jumps, deeper in your push ups. Also make sure you keep hydrated... You will sweat a lot!

Check out my Insanity before and after's here:

She's not losing because she's drinking a specific type of tea, she's losing because she's eating less.
