Hi I've just started Diet chef (it fits with my lifestyle so no judgements on that please.)

Seeing as though Diet chef and Myfitnesspal are partners I'm hoping there are other people doing this too?

Anyone want to be friends so that we can support each other with their daily choices?

It's a diet plan that delivers all meals to you. I think it's just UK thing.

they were on Dr Christian's new TV series I think - a group of "women in black" tried them out and lost weight.

that actually sounds awfully convenient. wish I had had that when I was busy with my dissertation last year.

It apparently exists in Germany as well – there is a .de page, at least. It is kind of useless in telling you anything about the plan though. (Just says: call this number!) Hence why I asked. :)

convenient - but make a point of learning what foods you can make / how you can make favourite foods lower calorie and portion sizes and their calorie content as you do it otherwise once you stop buying in the foods - BAM weight gain

I've been doing it for 3 days now and I'm enjoying it so far, it makes my life so much easier (I work really awkward hours) I have also struggled to find people that are also doing it so I would love to be friends with anyone doing it.

They actually have it all in german on the back of the packets! - Gingerbread.

Rabbit - yes thats half of it for me its reminding me just how small my portions should be and how much I really need to get through the day.

Its good because I can still enjoy things like curries and macaroni cheese without worrying about the portion control - because they do it all for me! I was surprised at just how nice some of the meals are.

Its not a forever solution but I need a diet that I can stick to and this I certainly can. I spend about this amount on my half of the shopping each week anyway so its not an expensive option for me.

Thing is there aren't many people Ive found on here (even though they have teamed up to track progress) to see what they are doing and how much they are losing gone the plan! So I thought I'd see if I could find some!

Lol. I am going to admit, if it turns out this is originally a German thing, I will not be surprised. It sounds very much like the kind of extremely pragmatic system yet healthy they'd come up with. I swear a large part of Germans are just hippies with an extremely pragmatic approach it everything.

I mean, I don't know if it's still around but at some point, my Facebook feed was full of ads from a company that would deliver a box of fresh ingredients to your doorstep according a set of weekly recipes, and portioned so that it would fit your needs and nothing would go to waste.

Also, they would do so in an eco-friendly manner.

    I love Germany.

    Hi there

I started on 1st January (so 2 n a half weeks in now) and ive lost 15lb over 2 weeks. (9lb week 1 and 6lb week 2) I weigh myself every Thursday and I've gotta say so far I am really enjoying it.

I've not told people that I'm doing Diet Chef, cant be arsed with the grief I'll get (ie - its way to expensive, ur stupid, ur lazy etc!! U know the kinda stuff I mean) I've probably only disliked 3 or 4 meals overall and I've ordered a huge variety!

So lets see how this thing goes - good luck xx

I've been doing Diet Chef for the past 2 weeks and i am loving it. I would say the first week is probably the hardest if you're not used to the portion sizes but once you get used to it, it's really easy to get into a routine. I've lost 8lb's in two weeks and that's with one treat of Domino's one night!

I do miss proper home cooked meals now and again but when i do my weigh in every week, it's worth it to see a loss. Most of the meals are really nice and such a big variety and i would say it is completely worth the money if you find yourself spending a lot of money per month on food.

Good luck to everyone else doing this! :)

There are several companies in the US that offer the same type of program, Nutisystem is the first one I think of. I did one called HMR (Health Management Resources) and loved the food and convenience. That one required supervision by a doctor and was expensive. It worked though! I would suggest you get very educated about portion control, nutrient balances and learning how to make your fav foods lower cal and lower fat so that when your done with the program you don't regain the weight you lose! Good Luck!

It's a 1200 calorie system so most people don't actual get enough calories which is why they lose huge amounts of weight.

    +1 :)

Not judging though! Anyone who would judge you should spend some time with a mirror. And I don't mean to see how pretty they look.
