Body Sculpting

I have just started a new programme at the gym. It involves upper body weights with 2mins sprints of cycling or rowing in between (aimed at keeping my heart rate in zone 3-which I haven't achieved yet). I have no lower body weights, running or walking due to plantar fasciitis. I seem to have lost weight (reshaped) my lower body fairly fast, with no loss to the upper body. Do any gym junkies know if this is due to the design of the programme or am I just genetically lucky? I have heard that you can combine appropriate exercises to sculpt your body and thought this programme may be designed to do that. Have I stumbled on to the perfect programme for us females?
