Hi guys,
Insanity was the cure for me. I finally lost the weight. I couldn't do 60 days, but I challenged myself to take whatever time I needed.
I have always let my weight define me. It has kept me secluded, away from society, and hidden in plain sight. But I decided to make the change, and I have finally broke free. I have stayed away from the public for too long. I would like to formally introduce myself. Posting in this forum is the first step I am taking to reach out to the public to regain my confidence despite years of ridicule, self doubt and self esteem issues. My name is Ben, and I am glad to be here along side motivated people like yourselves!! Ben

No questions per say just a congratulations. Had to drop around 100 lbs myself, while not as big as 300lbs, big numbers are still daunting. So props for facing that psychological barrier and coming through.

Hi Ben, big congrats! You must feel great! I have 220+ pounds to lose total, and have dropped 70 so far as of today – would love to be friends and cheer each other on. How has maintenance been so far?

wow good on you!!! what a fantastic achievement! Get out there and enjoy life, ignore the negative people, keep the positive ones close by. Good luck on the rest of your journey.
  • Congratulations! Tell me more about Insanity and how it was for you as you progressed and were able to do more. I'll be thinking good things for you as you venture out from being solitary to more social, and hope you find tons of acceptance and support and fun. May you feel great inside and out!
  • You guys are great! It is nice to finally make it out into the public "eye" so to speak to be welcomed with such positivity! Insanity was difficult for me at first. I couldn't handle a 60 day challenge, so, I made it a year challenge. After 8 months of doing insanity as much as I could, I committed to the 60 day challenge. I was losing weight the entire time. I was able to gain much more mobility as a result and improve my performance, and "dig deeper."
  • My (new) fiance' placed it on my heart to write a book about my transformation. I was resistant due to my shyness, however, I believe it is important that I pass what I have learned on to others so that the mistakes I made over the past 30 years may be avoided. I have graduate training in the biological sciences and have I know the benefits of a healthy diet. I know it in great detail, but I never put any of it to practice. I mention everything I tried, the molecular flaws, and my flaws. Then I go into detail about my "transformation." It was much more than insanity, but insanity was the catalyst that increased the speed of my weight loss.

I pray you find useful information within this book. I did my best to outline my long journey. Thank you all.
