So they title says it all. Over the last few weeks the number on the scales hasn't moved an inch. And all my weights at the gym have not increased at all......and its not for lack of trying. Before I could see changes happening, felt like I was getting stronger and smaller. But now it seems as though I have hit a wall and everything I do seem futile. I not going to stop doing what I am doing because I have lost 23 lbs already and don't want to ruin that. But it just seems so hopeless some days.

Sometimes people stall and it doesn't mean anything (especially right after the holidays). Keep on keeping on.

Otherwise, you can try things like weighing your foods to make sure you are still in a deficit, double check your goals page and recalculate your defict calories, changing up your exercise routine, keep track of inches as well as pounds, make sure you are not over-consuming sodium (can mask weight loss), and make sure you are getting enough sleep. If you stall for over a month, you may want to try a couple of weeks eating at maintenance to see if that shakes things up. Here is a thread of someone who overcame a stall that lasted months:

If you search for stall or plateau threads, you will find a lot of similar advice. It's worth it, and you can do it :)

If you want personal advice (not just motivation), open your diary and start a thread asking for help with a stall/plateau. Or, go under fitness and ask for help with your lifting routine/lifting nutrition. And then brace yourself, and prepare to ignore trolls. There will also be good pointers. Good luck :)

What program are you lifting on? If you're stalled out, most programs have a de-load phase to let things recover a bit before resuming the ramp. I can't see your diary, but it could be you're not eating enough to maintain strength gains -- it's *kitten* trying to get stronger if you're cutting hard.

I am in the same situation right now. I know exactly how you feel it's so disappointing the work so hard then get on that crazy scale and this shows no change.

I just hit that spot, currently in the middle of a "mini bulk" eating a couple hundred calories above maintenance untill my body doesnt feel like its been on a deficit for a long time, then back into the grind
