Kayakers?

My husband and I are looking for a kayak for my family of 3 (my son is 6.) We fell in love while on vacation in the Keys last year. I'm looking for some possible recommendations on the best ones. The one we used on vacation was a tandem but had plenty of room to fit my son in the middle. Thoughts?

    My father has a Hobie peddle kayak--it's amazing. I think that they have a tandem version.
