Can anyone explain macros? I see the term alot but have no idea

Macros = carbs, fat, and protein. They're the nutrients that contain calories (carbs and protein are 4calories/gram, fat is 9calories/gram, and alcohol is 7calories/gram). When people talk about adjusting their macros, they are saying that they want to change the percentage of carbs/fat/protein they eat in relation to the calories they consume.
Micros = nutrients that do not contain calories. This include vitamins, minerals, and water.0
