Anyone else doing body weight exercises?

I recently found out about body weight exercises.
I'm transitioning from a completely sedentary lifestyle to a more active one and I'm working towards completing a good form pull-up.
I'm following the program outlined on startbodyweight.com

Is anyone else following a similar plan?

Don't forget to add in some burpees. It's just about a total body workout in 1 move!

I am transitioning to HFT2 from lifting iron and using machines. Although I will still use my school's pneumatic machines one day per week.

I am doing ddp yoga in addition to jumping rope. This worked wonders for me before I fell off the wagon lol. Just starting again. *fingers crossed*

I just did it! On youtube there is a channel called 'FitnessBlender' they have many videos, and the videoes are long! And some not so long.. I did the one called 40 min Cardio HIIT workout, I havent really worked out in months, so I was completely wrecked pretty much two seconds in haha

I do almost entirely bodyweight strength training. All too often people underestimate how strong a person can get.

I train with weights as well as bodyweight. I'm working on a couple of goals:
-hold a front lever for more than a second
-hold a human flag for more than a second
-hold a planche (currently can do semi-tucked)

I also do push ups and pull ups as well as bench press and DB bent over rows.

Yep. I've noticed improvements in my weight training since consistently doing bodyweight.

I'm currently working through "Body by You" (Mark Lauren). It's a little bit slower program than YAYOG (geared toward beginner women, or women who need a slower progression/modifications).

I love it, as I'm not able to get access to a proper gym with access to free weights, and I'm not as concerned about serious gains (more of a general fitness, quality of life thing for me). 3 days a week BWT, with running and walking for cardio 3-5 days/week and once a week core work.

Me too! although I have unknowingly done lots of body weight strength training, i hadn't thought of it as an actual program until recently...always good to do a little research...

I just finished reading Pushing The Limits! by Al Kavadlo and am now reading You Are Your Own Gym by Mark Lauren both are VERY informative.

I think you are off to a good start!

I've also just heard about startbodyweight.com so I'll be looking into that next...what do you think of it so far?

I'm about 6 weeks in and I like it so far. I would recommend it to another beginner. But I think I might want to try something new at the 3 or 4 month mark.

I'm doing SL 5x5, but on off days I do bodyrock which is a lot of bodyweight stuff, squats, dips, lunges, etc. Except I like to add my daughter's weight too and wear her in her carrier while I squat and dip ;) her laughs make it so much more fun
