Just want to make sure

I am doing all I can to get the best accurate estimate for my day.

I wear my fitbit 23.5/7
This past week I started walking -- varying speeds -- nothing too strenuous for an hour a day. My goal really was to hit my 10,000 steps before noon.
Let my fitbit do it's thing.

Did C25K W1D1 the other day and again just used my fitbit BUT today I added in my HRM because it is more then a non-strenuous walk. My HR was a little higher then normal AND I was able to stay within my target range for the full hour. So I think by using the HRM I am getting a more accurate read.

When I lost in the past I used HRM only! So I guess I just want to make sure I am using both devices so they can help each other not cause more confusion for me...lol.

I log my minutes on MFP and let fitbit adjust. I don't log anything at all in fitbit.

Am I on the right track?

Are your expected results reasonably close to your actual results? If so, then yes... you are pretty good with your tracking/estimating. If not, then either wait a while to make sure, or tweak something small and re-evaluate.

IMO, 1 week is not enough time to really evaluate.

Just trying to get the closest guesstimate possible with the tools I have.

I'm just wondering if it is better to wear my HRM during the "walks" on the treadmill or if my fitbit is close enough. Also if I am correct in logging everything on the MFP side and letting the fitbit do it's thing.

Maybe I will do a couple test runs and see -- The weight loss is great don't get me wrong but I am just trying to decide if strapping the HRM for this kind of activity is worth it or if my fitbit is enough because it is walking based.
