Hey friends,
On yesterday, I weighed myself after a week and JUST yesterday I was down to 300lbs (again) but it was a very exciting moment. I actually weighed myself three times just to make sure my eyes were not deceiving me. Also because of this excitement, I forgot to take a prescribed water pill for HBP. Now I truly do not want to believe that the water pills are making that much of a difference, however, any help is welcomed..This morning I decided to look again and I weighed myself and it jumped up 6lbs. 6! I'm feeling very discouraged, but decided I am still going to stick to it no matter what. Plus TOM came early this morning as well....Is this normal? I know I shouldn't weigh myself everyday, but I was just very excited about yesterday.

I'm always up around that time. For you, it could be that combined with your skipped pills or water weight from sodium=6 pounds. Congrats on reaching 300, and don't be discouraged!0

Forgetting a pill won't help you lose and stopping them won't, either. So, in the event that you're thinking, "Fogetting the pill helped me lose, so if I take fewer of them, I'll lose more!" - don't. You probably weren't, but just in case.
I think the drop was your hard work paying off. Congratulations!!!!!!
Scales fluctuate, though. They go up and down based on how much sodium you eat, the menstrual cycle (ugh), if it's been a few days since you pooped, etc. Don't allow the scale to have too big an effect on your emotions. New lows are always awesome! But if it goes up a pound or two, don't wig out or get sad. If you stay the course with your diet and exercise, you'll keep seeing new, lower lows.
This "You shouldn't weigh yourself everyday" thing is hogwash. There is no "should" for everyone. If it drives you mad and you prefer weekly or monthly weighings, do that. But if you'd rather weigh daily, you should. There is no One, True Way.
That's very awesome, hitting a big milestone like that! Yay!0
