How do you send people friend request HELP!

ive been trying all afternoon to figure out how to send friend request and I cannot figure it out! Can someone please help me?

    go to their profile page and hit send friend request

    Click on their name. You'll see a green box that says "Add as friend" Click that. Add a message to it if you want them to have a good feeling about you.

    There is a known issue on the mobile apps (Android and iOS) that have the in-app Community deployed that they are working to fix. Use the Web version on a computer (not a tablet) in the meantime to go to a person's profile and click "Add as Friend."

    I'm not able to send friend requests either!
