BMR is your energy needs if you were to lie in bed all day and do absolutely nothing. TDEE is your BMR + your daily activity.1

Awesome. Thank you
In terms of weight loss... should I try to get under my BMR per day then?0 -
If you want to lose two pounds per week, you should take TDEE and subtract 1000 each day. 1 pound per week would be TDEE - 500 each day. BMR is pretty meaningless.0

^ What he said. Ignore BMR, and subtract 15-20% from your TDEE and try to aim for that.
When using the TDEE method, remember not to log or eat back exercise calories, since those are already built into your daily energy burn estimates.0
