Looking for dieting and exercise help

So, im 18, male and 255lbs~. finally started to get motivated and be a little more active, gym daily for cardio and as the scales drop i'll start hitting the weights more, my eventual goal is to drop around 60lbs to below 200. in no rush but would like to drop 1lb per week consistently. was hoping that someone here who is further along in their journey from a similar situation to mine could give me tips on a general diet to start following since im clueless as to what is good/bad to eat and need some creative ideas for breakfast and lunch in particular. (not to sure if this is where i should be posting, if not then redirection would be appreciated) thankyou for any help you can give.
