Just curious if anyone has gone Wwoofing? Not any time soon, but in a few years I want to travel, and it looks fun with a fair work/board trade off. Plus, I just like travel stories.
Does anyone have any stories to tell of their experiences? Where did you wwoof? Was it a couple; family? What were your jobs/chores? Did you learn any new skills while you stayed with your host? Or are you a host yourself? If so, what was a memorable experience with a wwoofer? I'd love to wwoof in Ireland and Scotland, France and Germany above all. I'd be fine traveling anywhere, though lol.

For those who don't know, Wwoof stands for 'World wide opportunities on organic farms' and a host will feed and board you in exchange for maybe four or so hours of volunteer work a day. Some may need help with gardens and crops, others may need help building structures and for crops and market running. Some need help with livestock. It can give you a chance to see a new place and learn new things, all over the globe. Couchsurfing sounds, and would feel like leeching to me for the most part.

Regular travel stories are good too. Share 'em.
Also, woooo. First forum post.
