I NEVER allow myself to eat at a smorgasbord - too many choices, too much food. Why tempt the mortals ey?

Not my favorite place to indulge - I'm kind of food snob tbh - but yeah, indulgence!! I'm thinking of going to my favorite Italian joint next week just because.

My parents bought for all of us, so they received double the bread lol.

Yes, indulgence! I had their peanut butter shooter: chocolate cake and peanut butter with whipped cream and nuts. OMIGOSH it was rich.

They have an Apple cinnamon one, but I didn't try it. Was already on enough of a sugar high.

I love the name of the places. They are calling all the people who eat there cows. I find that fascinating.

My daughter refuses to eat there, she states it looks like a "Honey Boo Boo Family Reunion".

Ha! The Golden Corral in my area is much improved over the others I've been to. It is possible to make some reasonably healthy choices, although I still feel compelled to eat too much of those choices in order to make sure I get my money's worth. Not sure why buffets still have that effect when I have no problem tossing food from other restaurants.

Better yet, there's a Greek buffet nearby, with amazing things like all you can eat hummus, spanikopita, gyro, souvlaki, various pasta dishes, and there's always some sort of seafood. Some of it is pretty loaded with olive oil or cheese, and there's lots of extra-carby stuff, but for the most part it's full of healthy proteins and good fats.

Then there's a Mexican buffet. I don't even want to talk about that one. *sigh* And we have a really amazing Chinese buffet that even has all you can eat sushi. It has unusual stuff like octopus, and healthy choices are pretty hit or miss, but it's delicious with lots of variety. The place is huge.

I looooove Golden Corral. Thankfully there isn't one where I live or I'd just get fatter lol.

We had a family that sat behind us like that. The floor around their table was an absolute mess. It looked like more food was on the floor than what they ate. *eyeroll*

I love the Chinese buffet near my house. Not at all authentic really but oh so delicious. I eat waaay too much General Tso's there.

Exactly! I mean, I will toss anything I grabbed that wasn't good at GC, but that's hard to do unless I get ahold of a rotten/dry/raw bite.
