I miss tasting whatever I wanted at a good buffetI have not gone to a buffet since I started this.I can't hardly eat fast food as it's so darn fattening and it's not worth it.I love to smoke and I am trying to give that up, I am going to do 8 tomorrow x 2 days. The countdown is on

Well done for trying to quit smoking, and good luck with it. :)

You don't have to deny yourself foods you enjoy. Fast food may not exactly be the healthiest option out there obviously, but it in itself is not inherently fattening; any food at all eaten in excess can be fattening. You could eat fast food every day and still lose weight while keeping to a calorie defecit (although I don't recommend it, you'd be getting very little nutrition from doing that and would probably feel like crap.) You can get fat on vegetables if you eat too many! Moderation, moderation, moderation, that's key. I eat chocolate pretty much every single day because I love it, we only live once and I want to enjoy my food as I go, but I keep within my calories and as such, I'm losing steadily.

Bottom line, if you want that tasty buffet food, or you're craving a nice big burger and fries, have it, if it fits within your daily calorie goal. If it doesn't quite fit, skip the fries and just have the burger, or if you don't quite have the calories for a plate of buffet food, just have a couple of things. If you're anything like me, you'll only find that sticking with your weight loss gets harder and harder (and can lead to a binge) if you don't allow yourself your favourites.
